Delhi to organise Amity State Chess Festival

Delhi Chess Association is organizing the Amity Delhi State Chess Festival-210 at Amity International School Pushp Vihar from 02nd Apr to 20th Apr 2010 to select players for representing Delhi state in various fourth coming national age group and senior chess championship including rapid events.  Delhi State International rating Chess Tournament will be the main attraction of this Festival where all the strong and International rated players from Delhi are expected to participate. The age wise events are Under-7, 9, U-11, U-13, U-15, U-19, U-25, Rapid age groups, Seniors Rapid ,Women category & International Rating Delhi state Open Chess Tournament.

Entries with late fee of Rs. 500      1st to 15th January 2010

 

Please note that this entry fee structure is valid only until 31st December 2009. Thereafter till 15th January 2010 the participants will have to pay Rs. 500/- extra. Entries will also be accepted at the venue till 17:00 Hrs. on 24th January 2010 with a late fee of Rs. 1,000/-. No request towards waiver of entry fee or waiver of late fee will be entertained.

Registration:

 

AICF registration fee for 2009-10 is compulsory for all Indian participants. The registration fee of Rs. 250/- will be accepted at the venue for the convenience of the players.

 

Accommodation:

 

All participants will be provided free accommodation.  The accompanying persons will have to bear their own expenses.

 

Weather:

 

The Weather in Tamilnadu during January is expected to be pleasant.

System of Play:

 

The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE Swiss System with 11 rounds.

 

Tie Break:

 

In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall come in to effect. The Cash prizes however will be shared.
